When I came out of high school, I had bad habits of eating take-out and drinking, and I gained over 15kg in that one year and felt so uncomfortable in my body! So I hired a coach, and I still had no idea about food, but I steadily lost 10kg. Fast forward 6 months, I signed up for an 8-week challenge with my coach and lost another 10kg… that’s a lot of weight in such a small time frame (I was lowkey addicted!) I’d lost over 20kg (yay!) I lost weight, but I was spending 2-3 hours in the gym every day, working 40 hours a week and also living on 1400 cals a day!!! I didn't know this was unhealthy until the love I had for the gym drove me to do my PT course, and there I learnt just how extreme my approach was.
I knew just how I was going to help other women lose the weight, but not create any bad relationships with food as I had! Right now, I’m 10kg heavier and not even stressed that I’m not as skinny as I was. I’m strong, happy, healthy and have way more confidence than I ever did back then, and I put that all down to learning the right approach to weight loss and body positivity.
